Iris Hanania
Founder & CEO, Propel GIP
Working with founders and leadership teams where business progress depends on leadership, organizational capability, senior talent and market insight.
About Iris
Iris Hanania is the Founder and CEO of Propel GIP, a boutique advisory firm working with founders, CEOs and leadership teams across Israel’s technology sector and selected international engagements.
Over nearly three decades, her work has focused on situations where business progress depends on the right leadership, organizational capability, critical talent and specialist expertise.
Since founding Propel in 2007, Iris has led work across dozens of startups, growth companies and established technology businesses. This breadth of experience has created a comparative view across companies, growth stages and technology sectors, together with long-standing access to senior executives and domain experts across Israel’s tech ecosystem.
Her work combines close understanding of the organization with a strong view of the market around it - helping leadership teams clarify what is genuinely required, shape the right organizational or leadership response, and navigate complex decisions involving people, capabilities and expertise.
Professional Perspective
Iris brings together three complementary perspectives: experience from within executive teams, the commercial judgment and accountability of a business owner, and almost two decades of market-wide work through Propel.
This combination enables her to understand both the internal realities of an organization and the broader leadership, talent and expertise landscape around it. Her perspective is particularly valuable where executive priorities need to be translated into organizational capability, critical roles, specialist knowledge and practical execution.
Through Propel, Iris has led thousands of engagements across leadership, People and organizational priorities, senior appointments and access to specialist expertise. Selected international work has included building expert networks and connecting clients with Israeli technology, scientific and market expertise.
Background
Before founding Propel, Iris held senior People and organizational leadership roles as a member of executive teams in technology and corporate environments, including Remedia-H.J. Heinz, Karat Digital Press-Scitex and Flying Cargo-FedEx.
She also founded and operated a multi-site B2B services business in Los Angeles, adding direct U.S. operating experience and a practical understanding of American business culture and cross-border work.
Iris holds a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Northridge, and a Human Resources Management Certificate from Bar-Ilan University. She is an Israeli, U.S. and European citizen.
